About
About Quarter Day Books
For centuries, England's rents fell due on four quarter days: Lady Day, Midsummer, Michaelmas and Christmas. Making Tax Digital has brought the quarter back. Landlords now report to HMRC four times a year.
Quarter Day Books makes plain, well-built spreadsheets and guides that turn that into a short, calm job. We're independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by HMRC.
How we write and check our guides
- Every rule, date and threshold is checked against GOV.UK, and each page links to its sources.
- Each page shows when it was last checked. We re-check them at least every quarter and whenever HMRC changes its guidance.
- We use AI tools to help research, draft and build our guides and products. Everything is checked against official sources before it's published.
- Our guides are general information, not tax advice. For advice on your own situation, speak to a qualified accountant.
